Short summary (Optional):
Dougherty County Commissioners have approved over half a million dollars to be used to purchase over 100 new radio systems for law enforcement agencies during their Monday morning meeting. The Dougherty County Police Department will receive 50 portable radios while the Sheriff's Office will receive 61 portable radios and 20 mobile radios, for a total purchase of 131 radios totaling just over $657,000. County officials say radios are being replaced because parts are no longer available to repair the radios.
