Short summary (Optional):

It’s no secret that there are significant pockets of Lapeer County without sufficient internet access, so county officials are working to ready the county for a future that includes broadband infrastructure updates to remedy that situation. On Thursday, the Lapeer County Board of Commissioners, via the American Rescue Plan Act committee’s recommendation, authorized Controller/Administrator Quentin Bishop to move forward in exploring the expansion of broadband service throughout the county.
